Host Your Very Own Podcast!
At WordPlay we can get you up to speed on everything you need to know to host, produce, and even promote your very own podcast.
We also have our own podcast - 'The WordPlay Podcast' - where each month a guest host jumps in the hot seat and gives you an insight as to whats been going on in the world of WordPlay. Take a listen to our latest edition over to the right.
This month we are lucky enough to have actress, comedian and writer Jo Burke as our guest host. Take a listen to Jo's top tips, some great clips from our podcast clubs, a special interview with poet and BBC broadcaster Ian McMillan and the 'Pick of the Plays' - this month from our workshop at Dog Kennel Hill School.
We also hear from young cookery vlogger Iris, just search Iris Cooks on YouTube to check out her videos.
Getting started in Podcasting
We offer full day training courses for adults covering some or all of the following topics:
Studio Training / Set Up
We help you get the most out of being behind the microphone, and give you advice and suggestions on equipment you will need.
Planning for Podcasting
We help you find out the answers to the important podcasting questions you may not have asked yourself yet! Get all your podcasting logistics fixed and in place, allowing you to reach your chosen audience.
Get the skills to turn your recordings into an engaging, professional quality piece of broadcasting. We also cover non-audio aspects of podcasting - artwork, video promotion, and trails.
For more information on these courses, please email us on email@example.com to see how we can tailor the training to suit your needs.
Children – Have Your Own Say… On the Microphone!
We offer audio training sessions for children.
Covering the basics of how to turn an idea into a podcast right through to putting the finishing touches to your final episodes - we get you podcasting fast! This course teaches pairs or small groups of children the skills and techniques required to produce and present your own talk radio show.
Throughout this practical course you decide which skills you would like to take away with you. Over the course you will plan your show, conduct an interview, script write, get to know the studio, learn the basics of audio editing pre-recorded content, and you may wish to also brand & promote the show.
